About me
I’m Eric Abrom, a UX leader with 14+ years of experience designing impactful digital experiences for brands like Wells Fargo, The Home Depot, and Fetch Rewards. I help teams innovate, think critically, and create solutions that truly resonate with users—guided by my principles of people-first leadership, curiosity, action, and humility. Outside of work, I teach and train Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and share UX insights on my YouTube channel.
My leadership principles
People First
I welcome differences and seek out individuals with diverse backgrounds, skills, and perspectives. Great ideas can come from anywhere, so I create environments where people feel safe, valued, and themselves, earning the trust of peers, stakeholders, customers, and users.
Curious
Yes, we all say it, but it’s true—always be learning! I’m constantly looking for ways to better myself and those around me. I step out of my comfort zone, try new things, and embrace challenges that spark growth, creativity, and inspiration for myself and my team.
Action Oriented
Many decisions are reversible and can be made without perfect information. Good is better than great, and perfect doesn’t exist. I take calculated risks using a deep understanding of users, products, and goals. Mistakes happen—own them, learn, and move forward with confidence.
Confident Humility
As a leader, I have no ego. I know what I don’t know and rely on my team to strengthen my weak spots. I use data, instincts, and experience to make sound decisions quickly. I stay open to feedback, value collaboration, and lead with humility while driving results.
